VegTrug Building with HCS 2306/5306 Students!

Feb. 17, 2015

The HCS 2306/5306 Sustainable Vegetable Production Practicum class assembled VegTrug’s in class. The Trugs will be used to grow vegetables for the Ross Hospital Heart Garden. A total of 25 Trug’s will be built.

The garden is being established for Ross Heart Hospital patients who will be working on their cardiac rehabilitation this spring, summer and fall. The garden will serve as both therapy and as a nutritional learning tool for the patients.

This project is a partnership between the OSU Wexner Medical Center and the Department of Horticulture and Crop Science.
