I designed this web site so that students and any one with and interest could learn more about different types of theme gardens. It would be impossible to cover all the different themes, so I have listed some interesting ones in hopes that it would help get some creative juices flowing. I wanted people to realizr that while some stlyes have guidlines you can be free to do what you want with an original idea.

John Cunningham

johnsjapanesegardens.tripod.com/

This website has been created to educate and inspire the common homeowner in their gardening endeavors. The site covers many topics, but by no means covers every thing there is to know on the subject of Japanese Gardens. Rather, it discusses history, design styles, design meanings, garden structures, and plants in an attempt to spark the gardeners interest. Hopefully the ideas presented here will help the home gardener to develop their very own peaceful and serene space. This site merely presents some ideas that can be incorporated into the Japanese garden design. It is up to the homeowner to create their own ideas, and put their own imagination into the garden design, because that is a big part of creating your own Japanese Garden.

I designed this website to help educate nursery producers on how to figure their environmental control for their greenhouses.  In the Green Industry, we all try to save money and time by doing things ourselves.  This website will help you determine heating and cooling requirements of your greenhouse.  It will teach you how to figure your volume and surface area of your structure, which is important because without it you cannot figure your heating and cooling requirements.  It will also tell you how to figure how much heat your greenhouse will lose and how much heating material you will need to keep it at a certain temperature.  I will also teach you how to correctly place horizontal air flow fans, so that they circulate air properly.  I hope this website will help in constructing your greenhouse efficiently and also allow you to save money by doing things yourself.

Lastly it gives the many types of pests and diseases that the average home gardener can identify. This site was created for everyone's personal use but it is geared more toward the home gardener. Because its for the home gardener, the site was made so that its easy to navigate around and find info they are seeking. Also, I wanted to emphasize how easy it is to create such a wildlife garden and anyone can do it. My ntentions were to hopefully make children realize how important nature is as well as how much fun they can have while creating a garden. I have included plant lists as well as pictures to make my web site a bit more intriguing. I want people to take from my web site the know-how and information needed in creating a wildlife garden. Interiorscaping combines elements of art and science to create a functional, aesthetically pleasing extension of the outdoors and brings it to the indoors. One initial purpose of interiorscape design is to blend man's technology (house or building) with the natural surroundings. To work toward a desirable design, the landscape horticulturist must have a working knowledge of art elements and design principles that apply to the designing interiorscapes and outdoor landscapes. This website is intended for landscape horticulture students with little or no training in the use of these basic principles.

My ultimate goal is to assist in the creation of a ìuser-friendlyî web site for the Student Services Center of the Department of Horticulture & Crop Science at the Ohio State University. The web site will assist students, potential students and faculty. For the purposes of this project, I have focused upon one small section, Graduate Studies. The content includes a wide-range of information, from the departmental handbook for graduate studies and the research call numbers of individual faculty for each quarter, to the areas of specialization of the faculty members. There are also links to required forms printable via a pdf format. This particular site will be used as a ìsampleî site for the graduate studies committee and students to review and evaluate the content and manner of presentation in preparation of creating the final content for the departmental web site.

Kurt Zoellner

kurticus7.tripod.com/

My site is designed to introduce people to grafting and why it is done. I wanted to make grafting easy to understand. I wanted to highlight the major processes of grafting and various grafting forms. I intended for people to be able to leave my site with an appreciation for grafting, and an understanding of why it is done. The site is also intended to be interactive. People should be able to utilize links on my site to find more extensive information about grafting. If grafting doesn't necessarily spark the visitor's interest in horticulture, hopefully all the plant pictures will. Hopefully, the viewer will want to search for additional plant information via the OSU searchable links. I think ultimately, the key to this
site is the fact that it gets information out to the public. The site makes people aware of the world of horticulture, and how much of an everyday part of life it is.
