These assignments are to demonstrate basic skills required for getting and modifying images to be included in Factual Presentations and should be completed by 10/15:

Digital Photography

1. Sign out a digital camera from 249 Howlett between 8:30 and 4:30 on Monday or Tuesday
2. Take at least three pictures: a general view of a plant, a close-up view of someone making a pruning cut and a close-up of foliage or flower
3. Tell me how many pictures you took and I will put them online

Alternately you can take pictures with your own camera and send them to me as e-mail attachments

Image editing

1. Download the images linked to those below and edit using Photoshop
2. Crop out unwanted features
3. Resize to fit within 800 x 600 pixels
4. Adjust brightness and contrast
5. Rotate if necessary
6. Save as xyz1.jpg, xyz2.jpg, xyz3.jpg
7. Transfer to your Tripod account
