Develop a presentation to persuade:

- OSU Administration that the campus landscape should be better maintained
- a client to buy a standard lawn-care contract
- a client that they should install a native plant landscape
- a client to reduce lawn area and plant trees and shrubs
- a client to reduce lawn area and install perennial borders
- a client to introduce a water feature in their landscape
- a city forester that they should increase the diversity of street
trees

- the boss that you should do integrated pest management for landscapes
- the boss to start an integrated pest management program in a nursery
- the boss of a landscape design firm that you should stay with hand-drawn
designs
- the boss of a landscape design firm that you should only use computers
for designs
- the boss that you need an employee manual for the company
- a nursery that they should not sell plants on the ODNR invasive
plants list
- ODNR that it is OK to sell some of the plants on their invasives
list

- an inner city group that they should start a community garden
- a group of Chinese visitors that they should develop a landscape
industry in China
Remember that your argument will be most effective if you try to understand
where the other person is coming from. Rather than just stating your
views try to think of the opposing views and address likely concerns
in your presentation. You need to research facts on both sides, so that
you can present a convincing case.
