Light Measurement (Quantity)

LiCor LI-191 Line Quantum Sensor & LI-100 Logger

The line quantum sensor and data logger are calibrated to measure photosynthetic photon flux (mmol photons/m²/s).

CFG - configuration mode (don't alter)
TIME - sets and checks time clock
CHAN - switches bewteen CH1 & CH2
VIEW - sets screen settings (don't alter)
OUT - send data to RS232
Connect the light bar to the logger at CH1 (CH2 is not used). PPF is read on the logger screen

PPF is measured within the canopy with a 1 meter bar. Also measure above the canopy to determine ambient PPF.

Place the bar at the required height within the canopy. The bubble-level at one end of the bar is used to make sure that the bar is horizontal.
