Japanese Aucuba, a slow-growing evergreen shrub that is often found in variegated form in shady spots, does well under the canopy of large trees or at north or east foundations of buildings. It is usually found in zones 7 through 10, or as an indoor plant. It also goes by the common name of Spotted Laurel, a tribute to its variegated leaves that are glossy and elongated, like other plants with the common name of Laurel.Black & White version for printing |
