Scientific Name:
Aurinia saxatilis

Family:
Basket-of-Gold

Family:
Brassicaceae (also known as Cruciferae)

Description:
Basket-of-Gold is a flowering perennial or non-traditional groundcover that is somewhat underutilized in modern landscapes, providing a crop of bright yellow-gold inflorescences in early to mid-Spring. It should be sheared back heavily after flowering to promote compactness and to enhance the silvery-green evergreen foliage. This plant was formerly known as Alyssum saxatile.
