 Scientific Name:
Brunnera macrophylla Family:
Siberian Bugloss Family:
Boraginaceae Description:
Siberian Bugloss, in terms of its early Spring flowering appeal, is most effective when found in a naturalized drift or mass planting. Solitary specimens (as shown here) do not achieve a dramatic impact, either when in flower, or later when just in bold-textured foliage. Interplanting a drift of Siberian Blugloss with a fine-textured, flowering, partial shade-tolerant groundcover (Bugleweed, Sweet Woodruff, Barren Strawberry, Lilyturf, Grape Hyacinths, Creeping Baby's Breath, etc.) is especially effective.Black & White version for printing |
