Description:
Feather Reed Grass, although drought tolerant, will be much happier when sited in evenly moist to permanently moist soils. In this image, the raised bed that 'Karl Foerster' is planted in provides even moisture from capillary action in a poorly drained site. This cultivar is the Perennial Plant Association's "Plant of the Year" for the year 2001.
