Ohio State University Plant Dictionary

Scientific Name:
Caragana arborescens 'Pendula'

Family:
Weeping Siberian Peashrub

Family:
Fabaceae (or Leguminosae)

Description:
Weeping Siberian Peashrub makes an excellent foundation ornamental tree (although the flowers are never overwhelming, since they occur after the foliage has emerged, as shown here), or an excellent specimen tree when planted near a body of water. Since this cultivar is usually grafted onto a vigorous rootstock, semi-annual pruning of the vertical root suckers is strongly recommended.
