Scientific Name:
Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Crippsii'

Family:
Crippsii Hinoki False Cypress

Family:
Cupressaceae

Description:
Although it looks and feels just like a golden dwarf arborvitae, 'Crippsii ' is a short gold-foliaged cultivar of Hinoki False Cypress, performing best in partial sun to full sun. However, when placed under a snow or ice load, it behaves just like an arborvitae, splitting apart in the middle.
