Scientific Name:
Forsythia viridissima 'Bronxensis'

Family:
Bronx Forsythia

Family:
Oleaceae

Description:
Bronx Forsythia is primarily known for its relatively small, dense foliage covering this miniature shrub, which can effectively serve as an edging shrub (as shown here) or as a facer shrub (to cover the lower bare branches of taller, ÒleggyÓ shrubs). Rejuvenation pruning to the ground every other year (just after bloom) will keep the new stems upright and the foliage slightly larger than normal, for a vigorous and neat appearance.
