Scientific Name:
Heliopsis helianthoides

Family:
False Sunflower

Family:
Asteraceae (also known as Compositae)

Description:
With False Sunflower, continuous deadheading prolongs its bloom until frost. In addition, shearing the stems back halfway in late Spring delays flowering by about two weeks, but promotes a well-branched perennial that does not lodge by late season.
