Scientific Name:
Iris reticulata

Family:
Reticulate Iris

Family:
Iridaceae

Description:
While the flowers of Reticulate and Danford Iris emerge first from the ground, the linear, ribbed foliage of these two dwarf irises soon overtakes the flowers in height, then arches as it continues to grow in early and mid Spring, producing photosynthate to be stored in the underground bulbs for the next year's flowering.
