Scientific Name:
Juniperus squamata 'Meyeri'

Family:
Meyer Juniper

Family:
Cupressaceae

Description:
Species of juniper display at least one of their three basic types of foliage; in this image of Meyer Shore Juniper, the type of leaf known as a needle is the sole form. While most evergreen trees in the landscape commonly display needles as their foliage (the firs, spruces, hemlocks, and pines, for example), most junipers do not, having scales and awls instead.
