Description:
Peonies emerge in early spring and yield extremely showy flowers by late spring or early summer. Most flowers are semi-double (as shown here) or double-flowering and rather heavy, and the plants may require staking with bamboo sticks and string, or "ringing" in circular wire baskets as the clumps widen with maturity.
