Mohave Scarlet Firethorn is a hybrid Pyracantha that is known for its heavy crop of red-orange fruits, resistance to scab and fireblight diseases, and fruit persistence into winter due to a lack of wildlife feeding; however, it is a zone 6b plant, only being hardy to about -5 degrees Fahrenheit before it dies back to the roots.
