Scientific Name:
Torenia fournieri

Family:
WIshbone Flower

Family:
Scrophulariaceae

Description:
WIshbone Flower, so named because its pair of yellow stamens have a wishbone shape, performs best in partial shade in moist, organic soils. While the traditional floral colors are purple, violet, and blue, new ones include white, red, burgandy, pink, rose, and bicolors. The color pattern and velvety texture of the small flowers remind one of Johnnie Jump-Ups or Pansies.
