Scientific Name:
Trillium viride luteum

Family:
Yellow Trillium

Family:
Liliaceae (alternatively Trilliaceae)

Description:
The foliage of Yellow Trillium is marbled (also known as mottled, speckled, or flecked), like that of Wake Robin; both Trilliums usually become dormant by mid-Summer, as the foliage withers to nothing. Shade perennials that have more prominent silver-flecked foliage include Lungwort (Spring through Autumn) and Allegheny Pachysandra (Autumn and Winter), while cultivars of Coralbells often have a burgandy base beneath their silver-streaked foliage.
