Finished your spring planting? Recycle your plastic pots & trays at the 5th Annual Chadwick Arboretum and Learning Garden's Recycling event. Check out the Events page for more details.
In Spring 2013, Chadwick will install the first retrofit green roof on campus! This 12,000 sq ft green roof will be located at Howlett Hall, 2001 Fyffe Ct. Columbus, OH 43210.
Chase Rawlins Turfgrass Major Is involved in field research as part of his undergraduate education.
Laura joins the Agronomic Crops Team as the soybean and small grains specialist. She is a faculty member with extension and research responsibilities.
David Francis received the 2012 Director’s Innovator of the Year Award from the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC).
Here’s what’s growing: the OSU Student Farm engages students in growing and marketing vegetables, small fruits, herbs and cut flowers.

Latest Headlines

The Waterman Farm has paired with the James Cancer Hospital to create the Garden of Hope. The community garden is designed for cancer survivors enrolled in the JamesCare for Life program. It allows cancer survivors to help pick produce throughout the summer. It also gives them the chance to grow their own fresh vegetables at home.

Five faculty and staff members are retiring this year.
Between the five retirees, the total amount of years of service to The Ohio State University came to 160 years!
 
There was a celebration on May 15 at the Kottman Hall Gazebo to honor the retirees. Faculty, staff, and students ate ice cream and saluted the outstanding people the Department has had the pleasure to work with. Here's some information about the retirees.
