- As Communications Coordinator, I write, edit, shoot photos, and publish the Ohio State HCS News, an online source for stories about the faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends of The Ohio State University Horticulture & Crop Science.
I also currently serve as the host of the Ohio State HCS News podcast.
As a member of the Horticulture & Crop Science Digital Technology Team I collaborate on many web-based, educational content resources. Headed by Professor Tim Rhodus, this program supports and maintains the Horticulture & Crop Science In Virtual Perspective website and all its resources. This team builds online resources, including photo databases, gardening FAQs, technical tips, educational videos and more. We deliver our content using RSS feeds, podcasts, distance learning, and DVDs. We also work closely with the American Society for Horticultural Science (ASHS) and help develop and maintain its online presence.
One project we are especially proud of it the enPlant - Awesome Plant Science Careers website that profiles Ohio State graduates in ten different career categories. These exampls of real people in real jobs helps demonstrate the breadth and scope of the opportunities available to those who study and work with plants of all types.
I've been at OSU since May 2001.
