Materials that can be used as soil amendments include spagnum peat moss, composted yard wastes, composted manure, and sewage sludge. Gypsum and sand are not recommended as soil amendments. |

Next, spread soil amendments over the bed. |

Till amendments into the soil. |
|
|
|
If possible, delay planting for a couple of weeks, to allow the soil to settle. |
