AREA OF EXPERTISE:
Vegetable crop production and physiology; seed quality/technology and seedling establishment. Field, greenhouse and laboratory studies concentrate on (1) seed enhancement procedures for tomato, pepper, and sweet corn, and plug production of vegetable transplants, and (2) integrated vegetable crop management programs. Interdisciplinary studies center on reducing chemical applications while maintaining acceptable quality and yield of vegetable crops.
