AREA OF EXPERTISE:

Turfgrass science/management.

Research focuses primarily on turfgrass fertilization, weed control, plant ecology, and
sports turf management of sand rootzones. Studies on the ecology of creeping
bentgrass-annual bluegrass has provided several alternative chemical and management
approaches to shift plant populations to creeping bentgrass. Surface carpet stabilization research on sand rootzones for athletic fields is underway.
