Maria Knudtsen Grafting is one of the most fascinating techniques of the conventional propagation. This web site was designed to provide useful information about "Conifer Propagation" by grafting, to students and producers, but also to everyone interested in this type of propagation. In addition, it has a Spanish version, making this site more accessible. The first section explains the terms, tools, reasons and limitations that are found in t his method. The next section shows systematically how to propagate conifers by bench grafting onto pot-grown rootstocks using side wedge graft, with pictures representing each step. Then there is a useful list of scion/rootstock combination. Finally, in the last section, there is a description of the different types of side grafting techniques. On the other hand, if you want more information about other site or courses, or about companies that produced and sell conifer graft, you can visit the search page, that includes a search of all the OSU web sites and the Netscape Yellow Pages for companies phone and address. Sarah LLoyd Apothecary gardens and the plants that are grown there offer even the city dweller a part of the natural environment that they no longer have access to, while offering a mental escape from pressure and suggesting interests having to do with nature and the natural world of herbs. When plants and energy are combined in healing, not only the body, but emotions, mind, and spirit benefit.

Kelly Mahl My project is about Horticulture Therapy. It is very broad in its content, covering history and benefits of horticulture therapy, a whole section on Plants and how they effect our senses, and horticulture therapy today. Horticulture Therapy involves improving mental, physical, and emotional health of allthe people involved. Melissa Morley The site I created for my term project is a poinsettia disease informational resource. The site is comprised of a homepage, a page of poinsettia diseases listed by name, a page which serves as a symptom and disease match-up tool, and a 'profile' page for each disease. All pages are linked together to make the site navigable, and the homepage includes a link to both my resume and the OSU PlantFacts search engine. My intended audience is growers and students who are trying to learn more about a particular poinsettia disease, or who are trying to get some ideas as to what might be wrong with their poinsettia. Though it obviously is not a professional reference, I did intend to provide information that would help growers identify and manage disease problems. I would hope people could learn more about poinsettia diseases and their management from this site.

Through text, visual, and links all users of this program should be capable of establishing a maintenance schedule for all landscape needs.
Jim Ramsey This site is designed to help the average gardener plant their own trees and shrubs around the house so that they can be enjoyed for years and years. Andrew Seymour I designed this site not only due to my own personal interests, but also for anyone who may have an interest in gaining knowledge about the hop plant. Most people know that hops are used in the beer making process, but are unfamiliar with some of the other historical uses of the plant. For this reason I have included a section which describes some of these uses. The Hops and Homebrew section of my web site is geared mainly toward the homebrewer, listing aroma and other characteristics of various different hops that are available to homebrewers. For the gardener, I have created information about different growing techniques, cultivating and harvesting techniques, and also a tip or two about propagating your own plant. Check the site from time to time to see new and updated information!

Aaron Stang Annette Swanberg Backyard gardeners across the country are rediscovering heirloom vegetables, those tasty varieties that their grandparents and great-grandparents grew and carefully saved the seed from. Why are these delicious old time types with the funny sounding names like Georgia Rattlesnake watermelon and Dragon's Tongue beans finding their way back into vegetable plots everywhere? Amateur gardeners can learn the complete story of heirlooms here: what they are, how they came into being, the pros and cons, how to grow, harvest and store them plus tips on saving seed. Also included are helpful resources on nonprofit and commercial seed sources, public gardens and historical farm museums with heirloom demonstration gardens, a list of suggested open-pollinated varieties and a short list of books with more information.
