Spring Quarter 1999 - Second Term

Description:

A five week program based at Myerscough College near Preston England. Lectures, site visits and practical experience will illustrate the structure and operations of the landscape industry in Britain. A World Wide Web site will be developed to share observations and interpretation with a wide audience.

Objectives:

After completing the course students will be able to:

  1. understand the information system servicing the landscape industry in Britain
  2. appreciate the legislative and economic environment of landscape operations
  3. utilize some techniques and approaches of landscape horticulture in Britain
  4. share insights into the landscape industry in Britain with a wider audience
