Being in London, we had to make our pilgrimage to the headquarters of the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. It is simply overwhelming, housing the largest collection of living plants in the world (over 40,000 species or about one in seven of the entire kingdom). We were mainly looking at it from a landscape perspective, but could not help noticing all sorts of curiosities along the way.
