A new tutorial is available to help you with HW#4. The tutorial is approximately six minutes long and offers many tips on using MWSnap (download program ) for taking screen captures and how to best incorporate the saved files into PowerPoint.
This presentation requires QuickTime Player software. The free version of the program will work fine. Download QuickTime Play tutorial
Tips for Viewing Slideshow
- Playback depends on your connection. First, when you click on Play Tutorial, do you hear any audio? If you wait for a minute does any picture or audio start up? Your connection may be slow. In contrast, I just tried 3 times in a row and don't have any problem with RoadRunner service.
- Second, How recently have you updated your QuickTime software? Click on the link for downloading QuickTime. You may need to re-associate the movie links to QuickTime. Other video players like to grab the streaming audio or video, even if they can't play it.
- Third, Start QuickTime software on your compuer, Click on File, Open URL. Copy the following URL:
http://hcs.osu.edu/virtual/podcast/PowerPointScreenCapture.m4b
This will connect you directly to the slideshow. Click on View in the QuickTime menu and choose Double Size or Fit to Screen.
- Fourth, repeat step three above with Real Movie Player, if it is installed on your computer. I have opened QuickTime video links with Real Player.
Hope this helps. |
