Join us for the annual ‘We Grow Scientists’ event!

The Ohio State University’s College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) will host the fourth annual “We Grow Scientists” event on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 3:00-7:00 PM at Waterman Agricultural and Natural Resources Laboratory.
This afternoon of hands-on learning and activities will showcase the many STEAM fields CFAES has to offer and will include a look at the Waterman facilities such as the Controlled Environment Agriculture Research Complex (CEARC). “We Grow Scientists” is a free event open to learners of all ages looking to learn more about STEAM in their community as part of the COSI Science Festival (April 29 - May 2, 2026).

This free event is for anyone in our community looking to learn how 'We Grow Scientists' here at The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.
We encourage you to bring the whole family out!
We look forward to welcoming you to Waterman Agricultural and Natural Resources Laboratory. Event parking will be in the "Carmack 5" lot (located across the street from Waterman). Guests will be transported into the event site via an OSU TTM Charter Bus to the CEARC (approximately a 5 min ride). Buses will run on loops throughout the event - with the first trip beginning at 2:30pm and return trips to Carmack 5 running through 7:30pm.

In the event of inclement weather, we have a plan in place to move the event completely inside of the CEARC.
No pre-registration is necessary. You're invited to stop in and join the fun at any point for however long you'd like during the event - April 29th, 2026, from 3-7pm.
