Join us for the annual ‘We Grow Scientists’ event!

The Ohio State University’s College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) will host the second annual “We Grow Scientists” event on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 3:00-7:00 PM at Waterman Agricultural and Natural Resources Laboratory.
This afternoon of hands-on learning and activities will showcase the many STEM fields CFAES has to offer and will include a look at the Waterman facilities such as the newly constructed Controlled Environment Agriculture Research Complex (CEARC). “We Grow Scientists” is a free event open to learners of all ages looking to learn more about STEM in their community as part of the COSI Science Festival (May 1-4, 2024).

Please note we will have clear signage when you are near the event venue (2515 Carmack Rd, Columbus, OH 43210) - guiding you towards the "Carmack 5" lot designated for free event parking.
We're excited to offer our guests free event parking in the "Carmack 5" lot (located across the street from Waterman). Guests will be transported into the event site via an OSU TTM Charter Bus to the CEARC (approximately a 5 min ride). Buses will run on loops throughout the event - with the first trip beginning at 2:30pm and return trips to Carmack 5 running through 7:30pm.
Absolutely! We will have two food trucks (Barrio Tacos + Thyme & Change Burgers) on site providing FREE food!
No pre-registration is necessary. You're invited to stop in and join the fun at any point for however long you'd like during the event - May 1st, 2024, from 3-7pm.
In the event of inclement weather, we have a plan in place to move the event completely inside of the CEARC.
