HCS 5798
This course is a 2-week field study of New Mexico to demonstrate the factors that shape agriculture in the semi-arid southwestern United States and be exposed to Navajo and Pueblo agriculture. Students will learn about the biophysical, climatic, economic, and cultural drivers of agriculture by reading and discussing literature and by visiting farms, research centers, processing plants, and more.
Prereq: 2201 or 2201E, and permission of instructor.
