Congratulations to Carly Becker on receiving the 2024-2025 College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) Key Values Award! Carly is the Program Coordinator for the Ohio Controlled Environment Agriculture Center (OHCEAC) here in the Department of Horticulture and Crop Science (HCS).

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON RECEIVING THIS AWARD?
I am truly honored and grateful for the recognition! It is a pleasure to be part of the CFAES community and to work alongside so many talented and inspiring colleagues across the college.
What’s a normal day look like for you?
Every day feels different to me – so cliché, right? But if you were to stop by my office you would typically see me working on emails, working on upcoming OHCEAC events, stakeholder relations, etc.
What’s your approach to maintaining a positive attitude?
I think having a great director like Dr. Chieri Kubota who is so knowledgeable and supportive helps me keep things in perspective and see the big picture.
