Congratulations to Brynn Johnson for taking home 2nd place in the Proposal Posters Category at the Graduate Research Symposium! The Graduate Research Symposium is an annual event hosted by the HCS Graduate Student Association that provides HCS students and faculty from both our Wooster and Columbus campuses the opportunity to come together to share their research!

Brynn is currently pursuing her MS under the advisement of Dr. Tyler Carr. We're thrilled to have Brynn in our department and fortunately she had a few moments to shed some further insight into her experiences at the 2025 Graduate Research Symposium...

WHAT WERE YOUR THOUGHTS ON WINNING THIS AWARD?

I am very excited; I haven’t won anything like this before, so I feel very accomplished. I was not expecting it and look forward to improving.

What was the highlight of the GRS FOR YOU?

Getting to meet new people is always fun for me.

HOW’S YOUR RESEARCH GOING CURRENTLY?

My current research is going well; the growing season is about to start again which means we will get ready to start year 2 programs.
