Gardener Internship at the Indianapolis Museum of Art 

Duration/Compensation: 12 week, paid internship

Gain experience working in 52 acres of gardens and grounds with contemporary and historic areas including Oldfields, a Country Place Era estate designated as a National Historic Landmark.  A highly trained and motivated full-time staff works with interns on a rotating basis.  Features include a formal garden, cutting garden, mature and new perennial gardens, rain gardens, intensive green roof, annual plantings, and a retail greenhouse.  Spring interns have extensive planting opportunities.  Some local and regional professional travel will be scheduled. 

Qualifications:

  1. Studying horticulture, botany, or related field in college or related experience in gardening.
  2. Strong interest in public horticulture.
  3. Must be able to handle the physical tasks to complete the job requirements.
