Social Media Internship 

Blooms of Bressingham Plants is looking for an intern to help generate their social media content. An intern will watch for social media trends, answer online inquiries (with guidance of Tour Coordinator or other Blooms staff or consultant), and maintain the “voice” of the gardens tour program.

Turf/Landscape Maintenance Internship 

Rae-ann Nursing and Rehabilitation Facilities are located on the Westside of Cleveland, Ohio. We have 4 Nursing homes with rehabilitation, an assisted living facility, a distribution warehouse, and a main business office. The buildings and properties encompass approximately 35 acres. We have taken all top three awards for Best Business in Bloom for the city of Westlake, Ohio since 2003. We seek a candidate for internship/laborer willing to work and learn the following: Turf maintenance and fertilization, annual flower planting and bed preparation, sprinkler system maintenance and operation, landscape lighting, tree  and shrub maintenance, planting, purchasing, and mulching, minor renovations, and over-all landscape knowledge. Candidate should be able to lift at least 100 lbs and have a desire to learn in the Landscape Horticulture field of study.

Arborist Intern.  City of Dayton, Ohio ($10/hour)
This position will support the City’s Forestry department with the completion of a tree field audit.  Student will gather information for all trees on City properties and rights of ways.  Tree information to be collected and recorded electronically will be: Location, type, condition and maintenance recommendations.  Student will need to have educational background that will provide skills to accurately collect tree data.  Performing this task will require working outdoors, walking, visually inspecting trees, and entering data into a handheld mobile device.  Must have a valid driver license and be a degree-seeking student in good academic standing.

Requested Majors: Horticulture, Arboriculture, Forestry Management, Biology and similar preferred, all majors accepted.
