Congratulations to Jorge Luis Rodriguez for taking home 2nd place in the MS Proposal Category at the Graduate Research Symposium. The Graduate Research Symposium is an annual event hosted by the HCS Graduate Student Association that provides HCS students and faculty from both our Wooster and Columbus campuses to come together to share their research!
Jorge is currently pursuing his master's degree under the advisement of Dr. Laura Lindsey. We're thrilled to have Jorge in our department and fortunately he had a few moments to shed some further insight into his experiences at the 2024 Graduate Research Symposium...
WHAT WERE YOUR THOUGHTS ON WINNING THIS AWARD?
I was honored and grateful to be among the winners. This award would not have been possible without the support of Dr. Laura Lindsey’s Lab.
HOW WAS THE GRS OVERALL?
It was interesting to hear about other projects and learn about the research that students in the HCS Department are conducting.
HOW’S YOUR RESEARCH GOING CURRENTLY?
So far, it is going well. Last year, I started collecting data and completed the first year of data collection. Currently, I am in the data analysis stage, and I will be starting data collection for the second year soon. I am excited to continue with this research and look forward to seeing the results next year.
CLOSING THOUGHTS?
I want to thank my advisor Dr. Laura Lindsey for her guidance since I got to OSU.
