New food-related sustainability initiative at OSU

University Dining Services is excited to launch another new sustainability initiative this fall that will give students, staff and faculty the opportunity to help grow the produce that will be used in our campus dining operations.  As part of a partnership with CFAES, Dining has secured a space in the Howlett Greenhouse, which is located on west campus (, where staff and students will work together to support this year’s crop of kale, lettuce and basil.

We are looking for students, staff, and faculty who would be interested in supporting the initiative by signing up to help plant, water and harvest the crops.  No gardening/farming experiencing necessary!  This is an amazing opportunity to partner with fellow community members to help shape a brand new initiative that will have major impacts on our dining hall communities!
