The Scotts LawnService Scholarship is a unique program that combines a hands-on internship with a scholarship that will cover an entire year of tuition. The program is available to current juniors (or those with one year of school remaining) majoring in Turfgrass Science, Crop Science, Landscape Horticulture, Entomology or other related field and with an interest in the lawn and landscape care or pest control industries. Applicants must currently have a minimum GPA of 3.0 which will need to be maintained throughout the program.
The internship begins on a part-time basis in the spring academic term immediately after the recipients are announced and continues throughout the student’s last year of college. It is a full-time, paid internship throughout the summer months and a part-time commitment during the following school year. Up to two recipients will be selected each year so apply now and you could be one of the scholarship recipients, saving an entire year of tuition at the same time you are gaining valuable experience with the leader in the lawn, garden and pest control industry. This program is designed to develop students to become future contributors and leaders at the Scotts MiracleGro Company. After successful completion of the Scholarship Program, you may be offered post-graduate employment with Scotts LawnService.
