Two HCS students selected to be CFAES Ambassadors

Feb. 27, 2019

HCS sophomore Kendall Gilmore and freshman Cody Tegtmeier were selected as new members to the CFAES Amabassador team on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. CFAES Ambassadors are a team of 20 to 30 students, selected through an application and interview process, to represent the college in a variety of ways. The team members give prospective families tours of our college campus, answer questions and relate to visiting students. They also serve as liaisons to the Ohio State student body to help increase awareness around our college. And, they are encouraged to become involved in industry to better relations. Kendall is a Sustainable Plant Systems major with a specialization in Horticulture while Cody is majoring in Agribusiness and Applied Economics with a minor in Agronomy. Both students are proud members of HCS and the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.

Kendall says, "I wanted to be an CFAES Ambassador because I love Ohio State and this college.  I thought the Ambassador program would be a great way to share my passion and promote CFAES at the same time.  I am excited to work with Ambassadors from other departments to improve this college as a whole and contribute to its' positive reputation.  I look forward to representing this great college and department!"

Cody also is excited to join the Amabassador team, "I chose to become a CFAES Ambassador because I thought it would be a great way to get more involved in the university and help share what CFAES has to offer. As an Ambassador I knew I would get to meet a bunch of new people and tell them my story about why I chose Ohio State. When I got the word that I was selected as an Ambassador I was very excited and I can’t wait to represent the department and college as a whole."

Congratulations Cody and Kendall!
