Research Focus:
I am working on creating a line of transgenic apples with potential pre-breeding applications for early flowering.
Why OSU?
I chose to come to graduate school at OSU HCS because I knew I wanted to pursue further education specifically in Horticulture. Toward the end of my undergraduate career, I developed a fondness for apples and found that they are a key facet of life in Ohio which greatly influenced my decision to come here. In my initial interview with my advisors, I found Jonathan to be an effective purveyor of complex topics and that Diane has a vast pool of experience in which to draw from. The two of them give me confidence in a successful two years at OARDC.
