I'm anticipating graduating Summer 2026
Research Focus:
My research focuses on the discovery of the health-beneficial compounds present in apples and their biosynthesis regulations. I use genomics and metabolomics to pursue the identification of gene-metabolite relationships of these compounds. With the discovery of regions of the genome related to the presence and concentration of the health-promoting compounds, we will be able to select germplasm in its early stage of development for future breeding programs.
