Growing up on a family farm and an interest in science. I fell in love with weeds…they’re really good at being plants! Exciting current research We are setting up projects to better understand how management practices such as cover crops and herbicide inputs influence weed seedbank dynamics. Rough career path that brought you to OSU I was working on an undergraduate degree in Agribusiness and Applied Economics when an internship in the weed science lab opened up. I loved it so much that I pursued graduate school and made it my career! Industry international involvement Co-host for the War Against Weeds podcast. Favorite industry conference The Weed Science Society of America and North Central Weed Science Society conferences. I’ve been fortunate enough to attend each of these many times over the years and always enjoy catching up on the latest research and visiting with colleagues. What are you most excited about seeing happen in HCS this year New students, staff, and faculty, and expanded opportunities for collaboration! What do you do in your free time In my free time I enjoy being outdoors, especially gardening and hiking, reading, and spending time with friends, family, and my dog. Want to know more?
