Dr. Clay Sneller

I grew up in Cleveland Ohio received my BS from OSU. I had no plans for graduate school. But after five years of driving a Terra-Gator for 80+ hours a week, cleaning grain elevator basements and silos, and being a salesman, I decided that graduate school did not sound so bad after all. I went into plant genetics as my advisor thought this would be a good mix of field breeding and stats. This was a perfect fit. I received my PHD, joined the faculty at the University of Arkansas for 10 years working on soybean, and arrived at OSU in wheat in 2001. I have been a Fulbright Scholar, lead & senior scientist, and a consultant on many international plant breeding projects. I have spent extended time in Australia, Austria, and East Africa.
