I'm anticipating graduating Autumn 2023
Research Focus:
My projects aim to determine molecular pathways and genes underlying cold tolerance in grapevines. Specifically, we will be looking for sugar metabolic pathways that assist grapevine buds to survive early-spring frost conditions after deacclimation. Other research interests include using transcriptomic approaches to explore novel genetic traits that help grapevines adapt under various abiotic and biotic stresses.
Why OSU?
OSU is one of the best institutions in plant genetics that helps students to develop professionally along with the academics. I chose OSU HCS because I found the research interests of Dr. Andrea Gschwend were perfectly in line with my interests.
