I'm anticipating graduating Fall 2022
Research Focus:
My research focuses on exploring the value of breeding within a consortium of breeding programs in the era of genomic selection. We would like to know if we can improve wheat yield and disease resistance better if we leverage genomic selection by sharing our germplasm and testing resources with other breeding programs. We teamed up with breeders from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the University of Kentucky, and Purdue University to answer this question. Our project is funded by the National Institute of Food and Agriculture of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Why OSU?
I joined OSU to strengthen my skills in genomics and statistics and learn how to apply them to develop valuable products, such as improved crop varieties.
