I'm anticipating graduating Spring 2025
Research Focus:
My primary topic of study will be in cover crops, and their adoption and integration in the Maumee River watershed. A large portion of my time will be dedicated to the collection of ground truth data from cover cropped corn-soybean systems in northwest Ohio. This information will be used with drone and satellite imagery to create models that help to explain and provide mitigation strategies for any potential yield penalties that result from cover crop adoption.
Why OSU?
My background includes work in youth education and international development, ecology and conservation, and the management of diverse livestock and farming systems. OSU serves as the land-grant university for my adopted state of Ohio, and I selected it given its role as the leading agricultural university in a very ecologically and agriculturally diverse region. I am excited to be able to conduct research in agronomy and continue to explore its role in Midwest conservation.
