I'm anticipating graduating Spring 2024
Research Focus:
My research project aims to use Lake Erie sediments as soil amendments for specialty crops and investigate alternative value chain arrangements for moving, processing, and selling the Lake Erie sediments. Using Lake Erie sediments as farm soil amendment might ameliorate harmful algal blooms dominating the Western Lake Erie Basin and contribute to a circular economy. Research results will lead to the preparation of a strategic marketing plan for a commercial grade Lake compost.
Why OSU?
I chose the Horticulture and Crop Science program for my master’s degree because of the opportunity to have a multicultural experience, get to know students and faculty members from all around the world, enrich my network, and learn every day from amazing people with different backgrounds and beliefs. I found the opportunity to work with Dr. Guil Signorini in a multidisciplinary research project that will contribute to sustainable agriculture and environmental health.
