I fell in love with agricultural research. I ended up getting my Master's and PhD in horticulture. I focused a lot of my research on quantifying and identifying plant secondary metabolites. I then transferred my focus to the wine industry. I studied hyperoxidation in white wines and focused on ways to improve the quality of wines. I worked with the viticulture and enology program for over 6 years at The Ohio State University. I left the university for about 6 years to gain some industry experience with food manufacturing. Now, I'm returning to the wine industry as a Research Scientist at The Ohio State University for the enology extension program. I'm really looking forward to getting back involved with OSU and the Ohio Wine Industry! When did you start working for OSU? July 2025 What do you like to do in your free time? In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband (Chet), my 3.5 year old son (Dawson), and my dog (Pinot Blanc). I also love reading. I am an avid podcast listener, coffee drinker, wine lover, and I love to laugh. Works - Any -Journal articleBook/book chapterReportWorking paperPolicy briefPresentationData
