I'm anticipating graduating Spring 2026
Research Focus:
My research will be focused on barley, and the breakdown of compounds in the seed during the malting process. I will be looking at genetic traits that could be influencing differences in malting quality and possibly work to incorporate them into current breeding lines.
Why OSU?
I chose OSU because I was provided the opportunity to work in plant breeding and genetics while focusing on end products that relate to human consumption. I really like this because a lot of agronomic plant breeding research I have been exposed to has been focused on animal feed or field quality, and this is something different and exciting to me.
