My research will focus on using cereal rye as a cover crop for weed management in vegetable crops. I will be studying how different cereal rye termination strategies impact weed suppression and crop yield in tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, and pumpkins.
Why OSU?
I interned in the specialty crop weed science lab in summer 2023. I enjoyed working with a variety of crops and in different cropping systems, especially Muck soils! One of the reasons I wanted to come back to the lab as a graduate student was our lab's amazing technicians. Working with them sparked an interest in agriculture research, and I wanted to continue learning from them.
